Late fall, early winter 2010 mosaic

I can't believe 2011 is already here and that January is going by so quickly. I tried to prolong the holiday season by hanging on to our Christmas tree for another week but it really didn't help. I took it down today.

I started forcing Eric's narcissus late so they're just beginning to bloom. Good thing I did and though they're supposed to be blooming in time for Eric's birthday, I like that they will fill in the gap after the Christmas tree's disposal and more of my cymbidium spikes opening up. This is the first year I'm watering them with alcohol solution and not just water and so far it seems to be working. Photos to come. In the mean time, enjoy some of my favorite shots from the last quarter of 2010.
